SENSITIVITY MAPPING and ASSESSMENT

Sensitivity mapping and assessment seek to present the areas considered to be of increased ecological sensitivity in relation to the proposed project. The areas are depicted according to their sensitivity in terms of faunal and floral habitat integrity and their suitability to provide habitat to faunal and floral communities. To illustrate these areas best conceptually, geographic information system (GIS) mapping is used.
