RENEWABLE ENERGY POWER PLANTS - SOLAR ENERGY

The company has a long term involvement and acquired extensive experience in the development, realization and improvement of renewable energy applications (mainly wind energy, but also biomass, PV and hybrid systems).

In the solar energy sector in particular, AEOLIKI Ltd has more than 30 years of experience in PV solar energy and Solar thermal research and technological development (having successfully participated in more than 20 EU funded projects) as well as the development and realisation of commercial projects in Greece, Cyprus and abroad, offering to potential investors a wide range of services, including:

  • resource assessment,
  • design and planning process,
  • business plans ,
  • realization of projects,
  • operational monitoring and evaluation.

AEOLIKI Ltd has participated in the planning & development of a large number of Solar  farms in Cyprus and Greece , totaling ~520MW (Development  Phase 260 MW - Construction Phase  70 MW – Project Financing 190 MW).

AEOLIKI Ltd conducts comprehensive solar radiation potential assessment studies of selected sites through measurements and solar  simulations, defines the optimum solar farm layout, and prepares the environmental impact and techno-economic studies necessary for acquiring the production permission.

The after-construction services offered involve take-over services and provision of technical management services to the developer in order to assure, maintain and optimise energy production.

In brief, the range of services offered includes the following:

  • Solar potential assessment studies
High quality measurements and analysis from experienced staff utilising solar assessment measuring equipment
  • Solar farm layout
Optimisation of solar farm layout. Energy yield calculations, array losses. Experimental and numerical tools applied.
  • Reflection Studies
  • Environmental Impact Studies
ESIA Study consists in description of the proposed project, description of the environment, legislative and regulatory considerations, determination of the impacts from on-going development, determination of potential impacts of the proposed project, development of management and monitoring plan to mitigate negative impacts, emission monitoring programme - quality assurance / quality control plan. Main environmental aspects covered include noise, visual effects including reflection intensity, land use, fauna and flora, and protected areas.
  • Techno-economic and Feasibility studies
Development of feasibility and techno-economic studies for planned solar farms, taking into consideration issues such as solar farm layout, solar potential
Preparation of application files for Power Production Permits.
  • Technical operation of solar farms
The foundation for successful solar energy projects. It takes well supervised and maintained PV panels and inverters with a high technical availability to assure investors the forecasted profits. Take-over certificates, due diligence, equipment inspections, verification of performance, production improvements etc.
